7-Day Florida Road trip with best spots to see and shoot

Hey fellow roadtrippers, it’s Nadia and I here, back with another exciting adventure!

There’s just something magical about hitting the open road, with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, that makes roadtripping one of our favorite ways to travel. And when it comes to roadtrips, Florida is undoubtedly a top destination.

With its seemingly endless coastline, fascinating history, and unique attractions, there’s no shortage of reasons to fall in love with this beautiful state.

Our roadtrip stop in Miami

We couldn’t wait to explore Miami, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture, art, and nightlife. Nadia and I started our day in the Wynwood Walls, an outdoor museum showcasing large-scale street art by talented artists from around the world. We then headed to Little Havana, where we indulged in authentic Cuban cuisine and enjoyed the lively atmosphere of Calle Ocho. In the evening, we danced the night away at one of Miami’s famous nightclubs in South Beach.

Nadia and I started our Florida roadtrip with a visit to Miami Beach. We spent the day exploring the famous Art Deco Historic District, admiring the colorful architecture and vibrant atmosphere. We also took a stroll down the iconic Ocean Drive, where we enjoyed people-watching and sipping on delicious cocktails at one of the many outdoor cafes. Of course, we couldn’t leave without spending some time on the beautiful sandy beaches and taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters. We also checked out the nearby Lincoln Road Mall for some shopping and dining options.

Our next stop was Cape Canaveral, where we visited the Kennedy Space Center. We were both fascinated by the history of space exploration and loved seeing the Space Shuttle Atlantis up close. We also took part in the Astronaut Training Experience, which gave us a taste of what it’s like to be an astronaut. Afterward, we headed to the nearby Cocoa Beach for some relaxation and beach time. We even tried our hand at surfing, thanks to a local surf school.

Nadia and I continued our roadtrip to Naples, where we enjoyed the beautiful white-sand beaches and calm waters. We spent a day exploring the Naples Pier, where we saw dolphins playing in the water and enjoyed the stunning sunset views. We also visited the nearby Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, where we took a peaceful walk through the boardwalk and marveled at the diverse wildlife and lush vegetation.

Next, we headed back to Miami to explore the trendy Brickell neighborhood. We loved the mix of modern skyscrapers and historic buildings, as well as the bustling atmosphere. We spent some time at Brickell City Centre, where we enjoyed shopping and dining at the various upscale boutiques and restaurants. We also took a walk along the Miami Riverwalk, where we admired the beautiful views of the city skyline and the river.

No trip to Miami would be complete without a visit to Little Havana, so Nadia and I made sure to stop by this vibrant neighborhood. We loved the lively atmosphere, with lively music and the smell of Cuban coffee in the air. We visited the famous Calle Ocho, where we enjoyed delicious Cuban cuisine at a local restaurant and watched a game of dominoes at the historic Domino Park. We also took a salsa dancing lesson at a nearby dance studio, which was a fun and memorable experience.

Our next stop was the artsy Wynwood neighborhood, where we spent the day admiring the incredible street art at the Wynwood Walls. We also explored the many art galleries and studios in the area, as well as the trendy boutiques and cafes. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious meal at one of the many innovative restaurants in the area, followed by drinks at a local craft brewery.

Nadia and I then headed to the peaceful suburb of Pinecrest, where we visited the beautiful Pinecrest Gardens. We enjoyed strolling through the lush botanical gardens, admiring the various plants and flowers, and even attended a live outdoor performance at the park’s amphitheater. We also visited the nearby Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, where we marveled at the stunning collection of tropical plants and took part in a guided tram tour.

We couldn’t resist spending some time in Downtown Miami, where we explored the bustling Bayside Marketplace and enjoyed the stunning views of Biscayne Bay. We also visited the nearby PĂ©rez Art Museum Miami, where we admired the contemporary art collection and the beautiful hanging gardens. In the evening, we attended a Miami Heat basketball game at the American Airlines Arena, which was an exciting and unforgettable experience.

Our next stop was North Miami, where we visited the beautiful Oleta River State Park. We spent the day kayaking through the mangroves, biking on the scenic trails, and relaxing on the sandy beach. We also enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery.

Nadia and I then headed to the beautiful Florida Keys, starting with a stop in Islamorada. We spent the day exploring the various islands, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. We also visited the History of Diving Museum, where we learned about the history of underwater exploration and marveled at the collection of diving artifacts.

Our next stop in the Florida Keys was Marathon, where we visited the famous Turtle Hospital. We loved learning about the various sea turtle species and the conservation efforts to protect them. We also enjoyed a guided tour of the hospital, where we got to see the turtles up close and even feed some of them. Afterward, we headed to the nearby Sombrero Beach for some relaxation and beach time.

We couldn’t leave the Florida Keys without visiting the southernmost point in the United States, Key West. We spent the day exploring the historic Old Town, visiting the famous Hemingway House, and enjoying the lively atmosphere on Duval Street. We also took a sunset cruise on a catamaran, where we enjoyed the stunning views and sipped on delicious cocktails.

Our next stop in the Florida Keys was Big Pine Key, where we visited the beautiful Bahia Honda State Park. We spent the day relaxing on the pristine beaches, snorkeling in the clear waters, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We also took a nature walk through the park, where we spotted various birds and other wildlife.

Our final stop in the Florida Keys was Key Largo, where we spent the day exploring the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. We took a glass-bottom boat tour, which allowed us to see the beautiful coral reefs and colorful marine life without getting wet. We also went snorkeling and scuba diving in the park, which was an incredible experience. After our day in Key Largo, we began our journey back to mainland Florida.

Our last stop on our Florida roadtrip was the charming town of Jupiter. We visited the iconic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, where we climbed to the top for stunning views of the surrounding area. We also spent some time at the nearby Jupiter Beach Park, where we enjoyed the beautiful beach and clear waters. Finally, we visited the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, where we learned about sea turtle conservation and rehabilitation efforts.
